Pat’s family was his world. He enjoyed being a husband, father, and especially a grandfather! Many wonderful times were spent with Deb, Stephanie, Bradly, Amanda, Johnathon, Keene, Owen, and Leo Cunningham. Most Friday nights you could find Pat on the sidelines of a football field cheering on his brothers, son, nephews, or whichever team just happened to be playing locally. He would also head down to KC with friends and family to catch a Chiefs game whenever possible. A highlight of every year was the annual Fourth of July Party Pat and Deb hosted at their home.

Currently Pat had been serving on the Eagle Scout Board of Review. He was a member of the Louisville First United Methodist Church and was instrumental in providing breakfast for the Fair Stand every year. Pat’s pancakes and biscuits and gravy were well known! He was the Chairman of the Board for South Bend for 20 years. Pat was involved in helping and donating his time to anyone in need. He did not want any personal fanfare for any of these actions.
Pat began his employment life at Schnieber’s Fine Foods/Cashway and worked there for ten years. He was then employed by Werner Enterprises for 24 years. Within the last year, Pat started working for the State of Nebraska Department of Transportation and was really enjoying his work life.
