With rain coming down throughout most of the Friday afternoon, the Stanton football team struggled on the road against undefeated Wakefield.

Turnovers plagued the Mustangs from interceptions to fumbles as the Stanton dropped a 50-14 decision to Wakefield for their first loss of the season.

"We have a lot of season left. We're going to fix this and move forward," coach David Stoddard said. "We're going to learn from this, watch film on Sunday and then we'll put it behind us and get better."
