The Mustangs carried home five medals on Saturday afternoon as they left Burke Stadium.
Abe Larson was Stanton's lone double medalist, placing seventh in both the 1,600 and 3,200 while Kamden Dusatko was the highest finishing Mustang, placing third in the shot put. Sutton Pohlman wasn't far behind him, claiming fourth in the 400. Kolter Van Pelt also earned a medal, placing sixth in the 1,600.
Several school records and personal bests were set on the day over the weekend, including Van Pelt's new mark of 4:36.99 to break Dexter Patterson's 2013 record of 4:38.1. Pohlman set a new record in the 400 with his time of 50.22, breaking Randy Hansen's 1998 record of 50.68.
Adam Arens and Madison Knudsen kicked off the Mustangs' state appearance on Friday. Arens went 18-1 in the long jump while Knudsen went 8-0 in the pole vault. Sylvia Cunningham ran a 12:56.66 in the 3,200.
Stanton's 4x100 competed on Saturday and clocked a 45.43. The team was made up of Connor McCarthy, Sutton Pohlman, Brennan Wragge, Mitchell Hupp.
In prelim races on Friday, both Pohlman and Hupp ran in the 100 and 200. Neither advanced to the finals.
