Risk For Severe Weather In Area Tuesday Night, Wednesday Morning

There is a risk for all types of severe weather in the area between 7 pm Tuesday and 4 am Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Hail, Wind, and a possible Tornado in Northeast Nebraska are all possible late tonight and into the early morning hours.  See the map above for the Storm Prediction Outlook mapping.  
 
Heat index values could reach into the 95 to the 102-degree range for a few hours this afternoon.
 
Scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible from this evening into tonight. Chances are highest from about 7 pm to midnight across northeast Nebraska, but storms could spread into the rest of the area. The main hazards are expected to be damaging winds, hail, lightning, and locally heavy rain.
