Funeral Services For Ronald “Ron” Lee Pohlman

A Memorial Mass for Ronald “Ron” Lee Pohlman, 75, of Stanton, NE, will be Monday, March 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Stanton. Reverend Gregory Carl will be the celebrant. The visitation will be Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the church. A private family burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements.
 

Ron was born August 27, 1945 in Norfolk, NE to Alfred and Adeline (Klawonn) Pohlman. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1963. Ron married Gwen Stuchlik on July 10, 1965 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Stanton. He loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s events. His family, especially his grandchildren, were his pride and joy. 

He had a way of keeping the grandkids engaged in what he was talking about and enjoyed teaching them new things. All the neighborhood kids were adopted by Ron and he would look out for them and treat them as his own. Ron worked at various places such as in construction, truck driving, and farming in Stanton County.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen Pohlman of Stanton, NE; children, Shawn Pohlman of Stanton, NE, Shantelle Pohlman of Omaha, NE, Shad (Amy) Pohlman of Stanton, NE, Seth (Monica) Pohlman of Stanton, NE, Shane Pohlman (Gabriel Estrada) of Omaha, NE, Shaelynne Pohlman (Kristen Boleski) of Topeka, KS; brother, Roger (Ilene) Pohlman of Story City, IA; eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter.
